Environmental Services

Stetson Engineers is familiar with the complex array of environmental regulations governing land and water uses in California and the western United States. By providing environmental planning and permitting services in-house, Stetson is able to streamline the regulatory process from start to finish, thus saving the client time and expense.

Environmental Documentation

Environmental planning, documentation, management, and permitting involve a trans-disciplinary approach using the knowledge, skills and expertise from the fields of engineering, environmental science, geology, ecology, zoology, botany, as well as the social and political sciences.

Stetson is well versed in the preparation of Environmental Impact Reports/Statements, Initial Studies, Environmental Assessments, and other regulatory documents. Stetson provides these services in a seamless, cost-effective manner.

Environmental Permitting

Upon completion of the planning and documentation phase of a project, Stetson Engineers assists clients in securing the necessary environmental permits.

Stetson has maintained a long relationship with the various regulatory agencies overseeing water resource projects, including, but not limited to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Regional Water Quality Control Boards, U.S. Forest Service, National Marine Fisheries Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and various state and local agencies.

Stetson’s understanding of the complex engineering issues associated with modern permit requirements facilitates innovative solutions that meet the expectations of the client and the resource agencies, while minimizing delays and costly project changes.
