Stetson Engineers Inc. periodically recruits candidates for
employment in its offices in San Rafael and Covina, California, and
Chandler, Arizona. Positions include:
- Civil Engineers (for surface water hydrology and modeling,
hydraulics and design of hydraulic structures and water system
design);
- Agricultural Engineers (for irrigation and drainage system
design, crop water demand determinations, cost analysis);
- Hydrogeologists (for hydrogeologic studies and numerical
modeling);
- Environmental Planners (for NEPA and CEQA analysis of water
resource projects)
- GIS, CAD, Technical Illustration and other technical
support positions; and
- Administrative Personnel.

Typical Positions
Associate/Senior Engineer:
Requires design and preparation
of plans and technical specifications, engineering calculations for
design of hydraulic structures (flood control channels, culverts,
canals, pump stations, dams and pipelines), wetlands and river channel
restoration. Projects involve challenging water supply projects,
watershed/river basin studies and restorations, and water rights
investigations. Expertise in pipe modeling programs such as KYPIPE a
plus. BS in civil engineering with a minimum of two years experience.
Professional registration in California required. (San Rafael Office)
Associate/Senior Engineer/Hydrologist: Requires programming
skills in FORTRAN and Visual Basic; strong technical background in all
aspects of water resources and hydrology. Projects involve analysis of
rainfall-runoff, flood routing, reservoir operations, hydropower
generation & open channel flow using standard methods/computer
models & design of hydraulic structures (canals, detention basins,
outlet works, channel and bed/bank protection, spillway). Minimum 4
years experience & Professional Registration (California
preferred) (San Rafael Office)
Requirements
All positions require a minimum of a BS degree and excellent
written and oral communication skills. Professional registration and MS
